HOBY Participants--EARN COLLEGE CREDIT FOR REGIONALLY SPONSORED SEMINARS!
These are fully transferable academic elective leadership credits to regionally accredited institution you select
Here's how:

Hugh O'Brien Youth Program participants, attending HOBY sponsored regional leadership training programs, earn academically recognized college-level Leadership credits for efforts both at HOBY training seminars and back home while working with community service projects, and/or in independent college prep programs. These college level academic credits can be fully transferable to the regionally accredited college you select post-high school, with the concurrence of your new institution's academic advisor, and come from Adams State College (ASC). ASC is appropriately accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools/Higher Learning Commission. Please contact one of the program mentors or the College Options Foundation for additional information on any issues. If you have any questions about ASC accreditation, review information at this site by selecting the state (Colorado) and institution: CHEA.org.

For course academic requirements, follow the instructions on the COURSE INFORMATION page, see gold bar at top of this page. Registration is a snap and takes about seven minutes if you pay with a credit or debit card.

Complete the academic requirements (again click 'COURSE INFORMATION' on the gold bar above) for your course grade. Your course papers are due by email attachment only, not later than the end of each semester during which you register and the three standard due dates are as follows: 10 August (Summer), 10 December (Fall), and 10 May (Spring). Registration cycles are available year-round as follows: 1 April - 31 July (Summer), 1 August - 31 October (Fall), and 1 November - 31 March (Spring). You can register anytime you desire after attending your regional seminar. Currently we are not imposing a 'not later than date' on past HOBY participants; however, ALL registrants must be regular high school students or older, on or before the actual day of their on-line registration. Thus, all past HOBY Alumni are still eligible.

Needless to say, the HOBY Leadership Program and these Adams State College provided academic credits will set you apart from the average high school student seeking college admissions!
